The Band completed this project as one of the first successful economic revenue generation strategies in 2004. With an extremely competitive gas market, we explored branding opportunities. In 2012 we converted from Tk’emlúps Petroleum to Tk’emlúps Petro Canada. Our Petro Canada is a self-serve gas station and convenience store at the corner of Shuswap Road East and Highway No.5. In addition to the convenience store necessities, First Nations clothing/accessories are for sale and a RBC bank machine is on site. The Tk’emlúps Petro Canada won the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce 2014 Aboriginal Business of the Year.
The Tk’emlύps Car Wash is located south of the Tk’emlύps Petro Canada. The car wash opened in July, 2009 and has been increasing its customer base. Located off of the Yellowhead Highway, the car wash is well situated for high visibility and good access.Proud to be "Beyond Green” certified through Ecolab’s Blue Coral program, the car wash features one touch-less automatic and six self-serve wash bays. Beyond Green is certified organic and will not cause harm to the earth or your vehicle. It also offers four on-site vacuums and vehicle detailing.
